RIDE THE WAVE, DON'T LET THE WAVE RIDE YOU
I have been on this spiritual cleanse for about 2-3 weeks now and let me say, honey I am LOVING this journey. I turned my phone on do not disturb, and started focusing more on what's going on around me and myself. You know the saying? Change what you CAN control and let go of what you CAN'T control. Instead of frustrating yourself and getting anxiety over something that is clearly out of your hands, flip it and focus on options that you can control that won't involve you having to take a Xanax to chill out.
When I made this decision in my life to just cut out all the negative energy, A LOT was going on in my life. And when I say A LOT. Honey I don't think the average human being can go through that much drama in their life in that short period of time. Because if they do, lord I send angels around them, and I ask God for a sense of peace in their life. That's a heavy load to handle.
I know that my God is faithful and nothing can stand against me. But in that moment I felt like God had forsaken me, I felt like all odds were against me, I didn't know whose shoulder I could go cry on. I just wanted to pull my hair out and crawl under a rock and never come out. I have never felt so alone in my life. I literally had no control over what was happening. So after I wiped away the tears and got myself together. I had to come up with a plan.
A. I can sit here and focus on this negative thing at hand or B. I can take the problem, ball it up and throw it away and act like it never existed.
Which option are you going to go with?? I figured... option B as well. Problems only exist if you give your time and attention to it. And that's when it just hit me. Think of your problems as a wave. You're the surfer and here you are waiting to ride the PERFECT wave.
But let's go back to when you wasn't that great at riding waves. You kept falling, the wave was too much to handle, you couldn't keep your balance, the water was just over bearing. It just kept knocking you down, over and over again. Until one day, you looked at that wave and you vowed to yourself that you will be the wave, don't let the wave be you!
Why we can't look at our problems that way?
You look at that problem and you tell that problem, LOOK! I've had enough!! You won't take me under! I'm going to take control of this! And now look at ya, the master of problem solving. You should look at everything negative thing in your life and replace it with a positive. You become one with the problem, and breakdown what's in your control and what is not. Once you've realized that this problem is really not that big of a deal after all. You get on top and ride that problem, like the surfer does the wave!
Hold your head up high, looking straight ahead. Not looking down because if you do, you'll drown. Keep your chest up, stomach tight, and make sure you keep that balance. Get control of the problem.
Find peace in your mind, and your body will relax. Figure out the outcome in taking control of this problem, you'll never loose sight of what's ahead and you will always keep your eyes on the prize. Never looking down because you're greater than your problems.
So every time a problem comes, think of the surfer and it's relationship to the wave. You have to ride the wave. Don't let it ride you!! You were meant to have a successful and peaceful life! Anything of God will never be chaotic. And as long as God is for you, who can stand against you?! No one! Not even that problem we call a wave!
Remember God loves you! Stay true to yourself and stay peaceful!
